Built on a newly designed XletonTM platform that offers a perfect balance of thrill and agility, TVS X, the new e scooter from TVS Motor, marks our foray into performance EV scooters. Being performance-oriented, the frame upon which TVS X is based is 2.5 times stiffer than any other scooter frame. The design language is based on Sculptured BodyworkTM for enhanced aerodynamics and effectively harmonizes the philosophy of blending form and function. Thanks to the 4.4 kWh battery pack, the TVS X electric scooter offers a range of 140* km and can clock a top speed of 105* km/h.
TVS X has a keyless ignition mechanism with 4 options to unlock. And when it comes to charging, the 950W portable charger can juice up the battery from 0-80% in 3 hours and 40 minutes, while the rapid charger can do 0-100% in 50 minutes.

A Design Ahead of Its Time
This new e-scooter from TVS Motor incorporates a trellis frame that is usually seen in performance bikes. The key benefit it offers is optimised weight and better structural rigidity. This frame also blends well with the split seat design which offers a committed riding stance to the rider.
It is also the first scooter to come integrated with a cornering headlamp which sits just below the sequential indicators. Beneath the headlamps, TVS X has smartly placed an advanced thermal management system – Ram-air Assist. This functional design element helps keep the battery cool since a constantly high temperature for a battery depletes its health, slashes the number of charging cycles and impacts the range.
A Deep Dive into the Features
Complementing the progressive design and impressive range of TVS X is the long list of features that it comes equipped with. There’s an all-new in-built navigation system called NavPro that works independently without the need for any external connectivity. Along with that, another in-house developed system in TVS X is the Playtech system which has several functionalities similar to Android Auto/Apple Carplay. It supports gaming, watching videos, access to social media applications, and much more.
The all-new system supports connectivity options with smartphones, smartwatches and even a helmet with a Bluetooth/intercom device. Additionally, the operating system also supports an array of customization options and promises to make the experience premium.
Apart from these smart features, the highlight remains the 10.2-inch HD tilt screen, X-TiltTM panoramic display with captivating segment-first features. This Bluetooth-enabled high-resolution adjustable screen comes integrated with the PlayTech entertainment system that offers music playback, navigation, and notification alerts.
A Thrill to Ride
When it comes to ride quality, TVS X features front USD (Upside Down) forks and a rear monoshock. The suspension setup feels soft and supple when riding slow and gets stiffer for better stability once you open the throttle, behaving in a similar manner to a performance bike.
TVS X prioritises safety as well – it features knuckle guards as standard. The e-scooter also gets “Smart Shield”- another in-house developed safety feature for crash, fall, tow and theft alerts; auto-locking, over-speeding alerts, reverse assist and Geofencing. It is also the first electric scooter to have TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system).
Being a new e scooter from TVS, the X truly complements the Make-in-India initiative as the electronics, software architecture, as well as the powerful EV motor has been developed in-house.
