With women representing 50% of the global population yet generating only 37% of GDP (India 17%), our focus on empowering working women is crucial. By 2025, we aim for a 41% growth in working women. We're committed to enhancing the gender ratio to 20%, fostering safer workplaces and enabling flexibility.

This commitment extends beyond the confines of our factory, with over 60,000 women actively participating in self-help groups and 20,000 engaged in income generation programs.
At TVS Motor Company, our commitment to gender inclusion is exemplified through our flagship Women's Leadership Development Program, Ascent' Launched in August 2019, this program has empowered 73 women across three successful batches. Through tailored workshops and trainer-led sessions, we focus on interpersonal relationship skills, assertiveness, impactful storytelling, and personal branding. Mentorship opportunities with senior leaders provide valuable insights, while professional coaching covers career aspirations, conflict management, and personal branding. Group activities facilitate knowledge sharing, creating a supportive platform for practical skill application.
Beyond the workplace, our 'Apache Riding Experience' stands as a testament to breaking gender stereotypes. The annual event provides women employees with a unique hands-on experience, riding our powerful Apache Bike under the guidance of acclaimed racers. TVS Motor Company's dedication to inclusivity goes beyond the WRG. Initiatives such as menstrual leave, hybrid working policies, special referral programs for women candidates, and TVSM Authentic Workwear designed for women's comfort are actively supported by the WRG.
In the pursuit of a psychologically safe workplace, TVSM has introduced organisation-wide initiatives. Events like "WeCare" camping focus on employee health and well-being. Furthermore, the implementation of unconscious bias training and "Respect and Dignity at Workplace" training for senior leaders and managers ensures a culture of respect and understanding throughout the organization.

As the CSR arm of TVS Motor and Sundaram Clayton Ltd., the trust operates on the principle that no one desires to remain in poverty, yet many lack the necessary skills and resources to secure a better livelihood. The initiative focuses on fostering self-reliance by promoting education and training opportunities, establishing self-help groups, and introducing improved farming methods. Notably, over 60,000 women actively participate in these self-help groups, embodying the transformative impact of the initiative. Moreover, the trust facilitates access to government programs designed to uplift individuals and self-help groups, enabling them to break free from the shackles of poverty. Once a community attains self-sufficiency and learns to leverage state support, the trust strategically transitions its efforts to other communities in need, exemplifying a sustainable approach to community development.
