Paying tribute to the Indian Army on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, TVS Motor has unveiled the TVS Ronin Parakram, a custom-built version of the modern-retro motorcycle. It features a host of cosmetic changes while remaining mechanically-identical to the original TVS Ronin.

The Front Profile
The TVS Ronin Parakram comes from the house of EIMOR Customs, who have worked extensively on the bike. Starting with the front profile, putting these wide off-roading tyres in their place without hampering the riding dynamics was a challenge. To make this work, the suspension crown as well as a newly-designed mudguard were worked upon. The mudguard was then placed at the front to efficiently make space for the block-tread off-roading tyres.
To further enhance the rugged profile, a stainless steel fairing cowl has been designed as the headlight ring, replete with a redesigned holder for the instrument cluster. The single-pod-shaped cluster had to be shifted from the left to the centre to make space for the chrome finish fairing cowl.
Inspired by the Bofors heavy artillery gun used by the Indian Army in the Kargil war, the indicators have also been redesigned from the standard round shaped to bullet-inspired gold-finished indicators. Another thematic element is the freshly-designed chrome-finish bar-end weights which are similar to the bullet chamber of a gun.
The Mid Section
The highlight of the mid-section of the TVS Ronin Parakram is the fuel tank which has been hand-painted with a tri-colour strip running from the end to the headlight casing. Talking about the tank, you get the Kargil Vijay Diwas badging with a brushed aluminium finish sticker just below the fuel lid. Also, on both sides of the tank, the images of soldiers erecting the national flag in dark green shades have been painted.
The rear swingarm too had to be recalibrated to fit these off-roading tyres. Furthermore, the seats have also been re-designed; the bike now features a single seat crafted with suede leather. A similar fabric has been used for handle grip to follow the army-inspired design language.
Rear Profile
Post reworking the pillion seat, including the wiring below it and the rear mudguard, a single seat was designed and integrated with a custom-built stainless steel cowl. Both these parts were then integrated into the bike. The cowl also features a badge to mark the 25th anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, along with a heavy-duty luggage carrier similar to the bikes that were used in World War II.
