ECU or Electronic Control Unit, is a module in bikes that monitors and manages various electrical systems. It is also known as the brain of the bike, as it receives data from multiple sensors through the vehicle and instructs various systems and components as per the riding conditions.
The ECU involves both hardware and software to perform functions expected from the particular module, which uses a software algorithm to process and collect data with a pre-programmed map, and in real time. It determines the optimal setting for engine operation based on real-time riding condition.
