TVS Radeon: Redefining the Commuter Motorcycle Segment

Unveiled in August 2018, TVS Radeon is the first bike in the TVS Motor lineup to come integrated with TVS Intelligo and 1st in segment reverse LCD cluster with a real-time mileage display. The philosophy while drafting the blueprint for this bike has been to make a workhouse with a retrostyle design language and integrate modern features for enhanced convenience.

The result is the bike’s impressive fit and finish, a modern looking instrument cluster and metallic finish throughout the exterior. All this makes the rider confident about durability, reliability and ease of function; characteristics you expect in the best bikes for daily use.

Commute Focused Ergonomics

Showcasing a fusion of timeless classic design, The bike's retro appeal with chrome embellishments, classic graphics, and rounded headlamp remind you of the golden era of motorcycling.

When it comes to the overall weight of the machine, it is one of the key factors for any buyer looking for a commuter motorcycle. TVS Radeon weights 113-115 kg (depending on the variant) - this translates to nimble handling, quick acceleration, and less exertion in daily riding.

Furthermore, TVS Radeon gets the largest seat in the commuter segment. Enhancing this comfort are the narrower sides and tank pads that offer a natural and cushioned sitting posture, averting fatigue so that every ride is less strenuous.

The suspension duties are taken care of by Telescopic Oil damped shock absorbers at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The ride quality remains slightly on the stiffer side which ensures a planted character on uneven roads even with a pillion or luggage hooked on the back.

TVS Radeon offers a ground clearance of 180 mm; this high ground clearance makes the bike ride with ease on bumpy roads and potholes while also protecting the underbody.

Redefining the Commuter Sphere

Designed to make a style statement and set a benchmark for segment-first features, TVS Radeon is offered in 6 colour options spread across two variants, with a colour option of the seat as well (brown/black depending on the variant).

Starting on with the list of first-in-segment features is the smartly placed USB mobile charger on the backside of the headlight. The placement makes sense as the wire stays away from the handle, averting the wire to get tangled along the handlebar.

It is the first commuter bike to come equipped with SBT (Synchronized Braking Technology) that smartly distributes braking power on both wheels for an effective braking bite, which is ideally the best feature for a commuter bike in terms of safety.

Low maintenance is another strong selling point for budget-conscious riders when choosing a commuter bike. The TVS Radeon excels in this regard, requiring minimal attention and routine upkeep.

Recently, a fresh new colour has been added in the lineup, the new All Black colour variant which is available all the way from the base model with similar graphics and blacked out pillion grab rail. Even the base variant of TVS Radeon now features a twin-pod instrument cluster with Eco/ Power indicator.

Also, a very unique feature for mileage-centric buyers is that TVS Motor has equipped the instrument cluster with Real Time Mileage Indicator. This, along with the 109 cc Eco Thrust fuel injected engine enables riders to attain exceptional mileage per litre from TVS Radeon.
