Understanding RT-FI Technology
The Race Tuned Fuel injection technology, developed by TVS Motor using the Bosch Closed Loop FI system. While standard fuel injections focus on fuel delivery, RT-Fi is built on “Track-to-Road” philosophy that uses racing telemetry to optimize the engine behaviour.
How RT-FI Technology works?
The iconic burst of acceleration on Apache Series comes from how RT-Fi integrates with the engine’s mechanical architecture.
● Oversquare Architecture
Short stroke architecture is in the DNA of Apache series. As this format of engine offers high-revving nature, allowing it to reach peak power band faster.
● Linear Torque Mapping
Standard Fi system often leans out the mixture at higher RPMs, causing a “flat spot” in rev range. TVS Motor uses high-performance fuel injectors, that ensure even at higher RPM, the engine receives a rich, consistent air-fuel charge.
● Race Derived O3C Engine
To maintain the torque delivery without engine overheating or “thermal throttling”. The O3C adds a “Liquid Jacket” using the engine’s own lubricating oil as coolant for the most critical area – “Combustion Chamber”.

It is a new layer on the RT-Fi logic that monitors wheel speed differentials, and intervenes during throttle pin-ups or low-traction scenarios.
● Race-Tuned Slipper Clutch
Now standard across the performance range, it ensures when you shift down a gear, the rear wheel remains planted, allowing RT-FI system to keep engine in its optimal power band.
● Racing Bullpup Exhaust
Since Apache engines are “oversquare”, they reach high RPMs quickly. The exhaust is tuned to match this high frequency. By cleaning out waste gases quickly, the RT-Fi can inject the next air-fuel charge more efficiently.
