TVS Motor Company sales at 171,837 units in November 12

Three Wheeler sales up 87%; Motorcycles grow 5%

TVS Motor Company recorded excellent retail sales in November 2012 with domestic sales retailing around 185,000 two wheelers, a growth of around 19% over the same month last year. This has resulted in significant reduction of stocks at the dealer level. During the month of November 2012, the company's total sales stood at 171,837 units against 175,535 units registered in November 2011.

Two Wheeler

The company registered total two wheeler sales of 166,783 units in November 2012 against 172,829 units recorded in November 2011. Domestic sales stood at 150,056 units in the month of November 2012 against 150,406 units of November 2011.

The company's motorcycle sales grew by 5% with sales of 65,494 motorcycle units in November 2012, against 62,608 units in November 2011. Scooters registered sales of 37,470 units in November 2012 against 44,301 units in the same month of the previous year.

Exports

The company's total exports for the month of November 2012 stood at 20,080 units against 24,271 units in the same month of the previous year. Two wheeler exports reported for the month of November 2012 was 16,727 units in comparison with 22,423 units in November 2011.

Three Wheeler

The company witnessed a substantial increase in the three wheeler segment with sales growing by 87% from 2,706 units in November 2011 to 5,054 units November 2012.
