TVS Motor Company registered total sales of 170,097 units in September 2012 against 219,369 units registered in September 2011. Higher sales of the previous year can be attributed to the onset of the festival season which falls in the month of November this year.

Two Wheeler
Total two wheeler sales stood at 165,092 units in September 2012 in comparison with 215,690 units recorded in September 2011. The company reported domestic sales of 149,191 units for the month of September 2012 against 192,027 units of September 2011.

In September 2012, the company sold 63,832 motorcycle units against 90,848 units in September 2011. Scooters registered sales of 40,055 units in September 2012 against 55,879 units in the same month of the previous year.

Exports
The company's total exports for the month of September 2012 stood at 18,818 units against 25,973 units in the same month of the previous year. Two wheeler exports reported for the month of September 2012 was 15,901 in comparison with 23,663 units in September 2011.

Three Wheeler
The company's three wheeler sales touched a record high of 5,005 units of three wheelers in September 2012 against 3,679 units in the same month of the previous year, registering a growth of 36% against the same month of the year.
