TVS Motor Company registered healthy domestic retail sales of 180,000 units November 2013, surpassing company expectations and even leading to stock out on some products. TVS Jupiter has been well received by the market. As a result TVS goes into the traditionally slower month of December with one of the lowest stock levels in the industry thereby keeping dealers lean. The company and its distribution is well positioned to take advantage of the conventionally strong fourth quarter and the company is taking all steps to ramp up production to meet this demand. The company's billing to dealers for the month of November 2013 stood at 161,908 units against 171,837 units recorded in the month of November 2012.

Exports

The company's total exports grew by 26% with sales increasing from 20,080 units in the month of November 2012 to 25,338 units in November 2013. Two wheeler exports registered a growth of 22% with sales growing from 16,727 units in November 2012 to 20,386 units in November 2013.

Two Wheeler

Two wheeler sales stood at 155,604 units in November 2013 against 166,783 units in November 2012. Domestic two wheeler recorded sales of 135,218 units in November 2013 as against 150,056 units registered in the month of November 2012. With increased production and launch of new models the company plans to continue the market share gain in the motorcycle and overall two wheelers. Scooters sales grew marginally by 2% increasing from 37,470 units in November 2012 to 38,331 units in November 2013. Motorcycles sales for the month of November 2013 stood at 61,471 units against 65,494 units in November 2012.

Three Wheeler

Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 25%, growing considerably from 5,054 units in November 2012 to 6304 units in November 2013.
