TVS Motor Company today announced the appointment of Mr. K. N. Radhakrishnan as their Executive Vice President. Mr. Radhakrisnan will be directly responsible for Sales and Marketing and material functions for next six months. Thereafter he will assume responsibilities of all functions connected with two wheeler business in India.

Mr. Radhakrishnan, a M. Tech from IIT Chennai, started his illustrious career 18 years ago with Sundaram Clayton Ltd. He has also undergone several training programmes including an advanced training in manufacturing process at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Prior to joining TVS Motor Company, Radhakrishnan was the Head of Business Planning and TQM of Sundaram Clayton Ltd and its group companies. At Sundaram Clayton, he was also a lead member of the Task Force towards transformation of the manufacturing set up of the company. He has held key positions in maintenance and production operations departments.

He later joined TVS Motor Company in September 2000 as General Manager - Business Planning where he was responsible for corporate planning of the company. In a short span of time he was promoted to Vice President heading the Business Planning Department.

Mr. Radhakrishnan was part of a select team in both organisations to inculcate the TQM (Total Quality Management) processes in the company, which resulted in these organisations being awarded the coveted Deming Prize.
