TVS Launches first of its kind "TVS Seyal Veeran" Award

TVS Motor Company announced the launch of 'TVS Seyal Veeran Award', the first of its kind in India - a recognition of ordinary people rising to extra ordinary circumstances. This 'recognition' stems from the very essence of TVS StaR brand, which revolves around ordinary people rising to extraordinary circumstances. The brand TVS StaR is about toughness embodied in youth and athleticism. The award has been instituted to encourage the birth of 'Stars' among ordinary people.

To mark the launch of this award , Surya, the 'Young and sensational' Tamil matinee idol presented the first TVS Seyal Veeran Award to Mr. Anand kumar a fisherman for having dedicated his time and energy relentlessly in playing a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of his village, Akkaraipettai. His achievements are all the more staggering considering his personal loss with his mother having perished in the Tsunami disaster. Mr.Kumar was chosen the first recipient of TVS Seyal Veeran based on a rigorous selection process by the council members of Bhoomika Trust, an independent NGO that was actively involved in the Tsunami relief operation across Tamil Nadu.
