When it comes to urban riding, it is all about the instant pull, excellent braking response, and rider-centric ergonomics, that is why your bike needs to be ideal for your daily run about and ready for spirited weekend getaways. TVS Apache RTR 310 with its lightweight and compact form factor has been designed to tick all these boxes.
Recently, the TVS Apache RTR 310 was honored with the Viewers' Choice Bike of the Year Award at the Car & Bike Awards 2024. It strikes the natural balance between comfort and agility thanks to the adjustable suspension on both the wheels, and showcases TVS’s penchant for advancement and love for racing.
Engineered for Urban Thrills
Despite having the same motor as its fully faired sibling, TVS Motor has tuned the powertrain to suit the bike’s characters. It now gets a bigger airbox to feed this motor, a reworked exhaust, and the air-fuel compression ratio has also been bumped up to cater to urban riding needs.
The transmission duties on this street fighter are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox of Apache RR 310 with a Bi-Directional quick-shifter that excels in the ease of gear engagement with no slippage and and quick launches.
Precise throttle response is crucial in urban riding conditions and Throttle-by-wire takes charge in this area. A flick of the wrist delivers precise performance like never before, offering a surge of power when you need it. Furthermore, the race-tuned slipper clutch allows for rapid downshifts and prevents rear wheel hopping. It also enhances the torque-carrying capacity with reduced clutch usage.
Tech for the Urban Jungle
The digital face of this freestyler is a 5” TFT race computer that enhances the riding experience. It also gets the “What3words” geocode system to find, share, and navigate to the precise location with just three words.
An intelligent feature of TVS Apache RTR 310 is “Digi Docs” which lets you store/transfer and share documents with the TVS Connect app. You can store up to 3 documents like vehicle RC, License and PUC.
The party piece of the RTR 310 is its 6-axis IMU which enables a host of performance features like: –
• Cornering ABS
• Cornering Traction Control
• Cornering Cruise Control
• Rear Wheel Lift-Off protection
You also get five ride modes: Urban, Sport, Rain, Track and Supermoto mode.
The Urban mode calibrates ABS and ECU for précise throttle response in the low-to-mid range of the torque band for a quick burst of acceleration. Then there’s the Rain mode which alters the power delivery for linear acceleration with rear wheel lift protection.

Sport and Track modes have minimal ABS intervention to push the bike to its limits. A dedicated freestyle-oriented mode is the all-new Supermoto Mode that disengages the rear ABS while maximizing the power delivery to the rear wheel.
Recently, the Apache RTR 310 also won the Acer FASTER Award for Auto Tech of the Year 2024.
Comfort and Ergonomics
Comfort for any bike starts with the easy foot reach on the ground. At 800 mm, the seat height of RTR 310 is accessible even for shorter riders as they sit upright with handlebars in comfortable reach. Its kerb weight of 169 kg is all thanks to the lightweight Hyperspec trellis frame, the bike offers excellent dynamic stiffness and ease of manoeuvrability.
When it comes to the ride quality, the monoshock with monotube floating piston at the rear and 41 mm USD forks at the front provide precise damping and smooth dynamic response, ironing out all the undulations on the road while also ensuring best-in-class lateral acceleration and cornering speeds.
Last but certainly not the least, for the first time ever on any bike, the TVS Apache RTR 310 gets Climatic controlled seats. TVS Motor has developed a thermoelectric device and it works on a phenomenon known as the “Peltier effect”. With three levels of cooling and heating options, this feature ensures ultimate comfort for the rider.
