General

Option 1. Follow the link or QR code mentioned in the Owner’s manual to download the official TVS Connect App.

Option 2. Search TVS Connect in play store. Select TVS Connect from the search results and download it.

Additional apps are not required to avail map features. Once you install the TVS Connect app, go to navigation option to avail map features. If TVS Connect app is not installed, go to Play Store and install it.

Check for updates from Google Play Store. If any update is available, it is strongly recommended to update the app from Google Play Store.

You can find the app version in the app by following the below steps:
Open app -> App version is available under “Help” menu

If you don’t provide all permissions to the app, the features requiring the corresponding permissions will be affected. At any point of time you can provide the required permissions by following steps: <br>Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> TVS Connect -> Permissions

Force stopping the TVS Connect will disconnect your vehicle from Smartphone, hence you need to reconnect to your vehicle again by re-opening the app and connecting again.

Sometimes due to low storage memory in the smart phone, the app might not get installed. Ensure the smartphone has enough storage memory. Also ensure you search with the correct spelling in the Play Store.

The TVS Connect is compatible only for the smart phones with Android OS version KitKat (4.4) and above and the Bluetooth version 4.0 and above.

  • Ensure there is no restriction for the app in battery saver settings.
  • Ensure that app is running with all the permissions prompted by the app during installation or you can access this option from phone settings >> Apps >> TVS Connect >> Permissions
  • Ensure the app is locked in RAM so that it doesn’t get killed by Android OS while running in the background.

Setting

When you make changes in the app settings, make sure that you save the changes by pressing APPLY button at the top right corner of the screen and ensure you are connected to the vehicle after the app settings are saved.

Auto reply SMS will not be sent If Do Not Disturb mode is enabled. Do not disturb mode will disconnect the call automatically in the smart phone and prevents the call notification alert appearing in the connected cluster. This option
                        will only work if the app is connected to the Instrument Cluster.

Follow the below steps to configure the over speed alert:

  • Open the TVS Connect app
  • Go to Settings
  • Enable Over speed alert if it is disabled, a slider type window opens where you can set the over speed limit by dragging the slider.
  • Press OK button for setting the value.
  • Save the settings by pressing ‘APPLY’ button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • If the over speed alert is already on, tap the over speed alert field. A slider type window opens where the Over speed limit can be customized by dragging the slider and press ‘APPLY’.

After setting the over speed value, save the changes you made by pressing ‘APPLY’ button at the top right corner of the settings screen. After pressing ‘APPLY’ button, over speed value will be updated in instrument cluster.

Connected instrument cluster will display SMS notifications only from saved contacts in the Smartphone. It will not display incoming SMS from new/unsaved number.

Profile Settings

Maximum number of characters allowed for Rider’s name option is 13.

Special characters are not allowed in Rider’s name.

Profile Picture

If you are not able to set profile picture from gallery, try using other default Gallery apps from your Smart phone.

To set profile picture from cloud storage photos, make sure you Turn ON your mobile data before uploading profile picture to TVS Connect app.

The orientation of the profile picture depends on the mobile phone manufacturer’s default settings.

The profile picture taken from TVS Connect app is intended not to be saved in gallery. It directly gets uploaded in the app as your Profile pic. In case you need to upload a picture from gallery tap on the profile picture in app home
                        screen and it helps you to customize your profile pic.

Location

Your TVS Connect app doesn’t allow you to change the location when mobile data and GPS is turned ON. However, you can change the location in profile settings if your GPS is turned OFF.

GPS must be enabled in high accuracy mode because certain dedicated features of TVS Connect app like navigation assistant, last parked location, save route are highly dependent on GPS accuracy of the Smartphone.

During navigation, you cannot share the route. Once the ride is finished, you can generate the ride report and press icon. It displays the route of travel. To share the route, you can take a screenshot and share it.

To update the location in the app, ensure your Mobile data and GPS (in High accuracy mode) are turned ON.

Bluetooth Connection

Refer to the following steps:

  1. Switch OFF your vehicle and after a few seconds, switch it ON.
  2. Close the app and turn OFF Bluetooth.
  3. Now switch ON the vehicle, open the app and try for connection.

Refer to the following steps:

  1. Switch OFF your vehicle and after a time interval of 6 seconds, switch it ON.
  2. Close the app and turn OFF Bluetooth.
  3. Now switch ON the vehicle, open the app and try for connection.

The Instrument cluster generates pairing key at regular interval. If you miss the pairing key from the Instrument cluster, accept the subsequent pairing key to connect to the vehicle. Still if you cannot pair switch OFF your vehicle and after a few seconds, switch it ON and try to connect with the new pairing key.

Ensure the vehicle is ON and you are near the vehicle (approximately 10meters). Bluetooth scan list refreshes after certain interval of time based on Mobile phone manufacturer. Wait for some time till the search screen refreshes, and your device name appears on the subsequent list. Still if you can’t view the speedometer name in the Bluetooth scan list, then follow the steps below: Switch OFF the vehicle -> Close the app -> Switch ON the vehicle -> Open the app and do the connection

It is always recommended to connect the Instrument Cluster through TVS Connect app to experience any SmartXonnect features of the vehicle.

Auto pairing with the vehicle can take a maximum time of 5 minutes. Auto pairing happens only if application is locked in the RAM in multitasking screen of the phone with manufacture’s customized OS (Ex: MI, Vivo etc. refer pictures).

Even if the phone’s Bluetooth is already paired to other gadgets like smart watch, health band or helmet, the auto-paring works with TVS NTORQ 125's connected instrument cluster also.

If you cancel the First pairing key, the Instrument Cluster sends passkey again. Accept the subsequent pairing keys to connect to the vehicle. Still if you cannot pair switch OFF your vehicle and after few seconds, switch it ON for new passkey.

It is advisable not to change the Smartphone clock settings after connecting the app with instrument cluster since it can lead to malfunction of app.

If you have selected other Bluetooth device name instead of the speedometer Bluetooth name in the Bluetooth scan list, the app responds that it is not TVS Connect vehicle.

Navigation

No, Turn by Turn navigation feature works only if the Smartphone is connected to TVS Connect

To set the GPS in high accuracy mode, follow the below steps:

Settings -> Locations -> Switch ON the location by pressing the slider -> Tap on ‘Mode’ and change it to ‘High Accuracy’ mode.

Ensure the Smartphone’s mobile data and GPS in High accuracy mode are turned ON.

Yes, you can use navigation through Wi-Fi with internet connection. You should also turn ON your Smartphone GPS in high accuracy mode.

If first time pairing is done, your vehicle automatically connects to your phone when you go near it and switch ON the vehicle, hence you need not to repeat the search.

In case you exit the navigation screen to manually connect through connect icon then your search results will be lost and you should repeat the search.

No, as of now you can’t search a location from other countries in the app.

“Searching GPS signal” is displayed in the Connected Instrument Cluster whenever the GPS signal is low/ not available. Wait for some time for the GPS signal. Also ensure that there is no restriction for GPS in the Battery Saver settings.

Search results and route calculation are provided by our Maps service provider, Map My India. You may find that construction projects, traffic, weather or other events may cause conditions to differ from the map results and you should plan your route accordingly

No, estimated time to reach destination do not take live traffic into account.

Once you exit Turn by Turn instruction screen, you cannot continue the previous navigation planned. User has to search for the destination again and press “Start navigation” to start Turn by Turn navigation.

Navigation instructions are provided by our Maps service provider, Map My India through online service. Poor internet connection or low GPS signal might lead to navigation instruction not getting updated. In such cases the connected cluster will display messages like “Searching GPS signal” or “Fetching mobile data”.

Assist can only be used when the mobile data is ON/available.

If the route shown in the map is not followed, auto rerouting will happen within some distance of travel and “Rerouting” status will be displayed in the Connected Instrument Cluster. Recalculation of route by the map always prefers the shortest route. If the new recalculated route is completely opposite to driving direction, the app and the Connected Instrument Cluster will instruct you to “Take U Turn”.

If navigation doesn’t start even after pressing the start navigation icon, make sure you connect to the vehicle before starting navigation. If you are near the vehicle, auto connection happens in the background if you had done first-time pairing. Beside this, check if the mobile data and GPS (in high accuracy mode) is ON. If still it does not start, then follow the steps below:

Ensure the battery saver options are not switched ON and no restrictions is given to use location services in background.

While using navigation feature, if the map crashes, you need to reopen the navigation screen. Search again for the destination and start the navigation.

If the app crashes, reopen the app and make sure you provide all permissions required by the app in Smartphone settings.

To avoid the situation, make sure there is no restriction for the app in battery saver settings. Also make sure your app is locked in RAM so that it doesn’t get killed by the Android OS while running in the background.

To reconnect to the speedometer, open the app again and try for manual connection.

‘You arrived’ message indicates you are in the vicinity of the destination within 100m radius.

It is a design intent to close the Navigation assist automatically after the crossing the destination to save the battery of your smartphone.

Your safety is the first priority. So when the Navigation assist is ON and you exceed the high speed limit, the Instrument cluster displays “High Speed Alert”.

To stop displaying the alert, either slow down the vehicle or customize the High Speed limit in the app.

Last Parked Location

Trip Report

It is the time recorded during which vehicle’s speed is less than 2kmph till trip report is generated.

Trip report generation is independent of the modes provided in the Instrument Cluster.

If the app is connected to the Instrument Cluster, then at every ignition OFF a prompt is popped up in the app to generate the trip report. Click ‘YES’ to generate the Trip report.

You can save and store maximum of 10 ride reports in ‘RECENT TRIPS’ tab and 10 additionally in ‘MY FAVORITES’ tab. On saving the 11th trip report, the old one gets deleted automatically

To see the route of travel in the Ride Report, enable the ‘save route’ settings and press APPLY at the top right corner of settings screen before starting the trip. You may find that conditions like poor internet connectivity or low GPS signal which may lead to route not saved in the trip report.

If you drive the TVS NTORQ 125 in “SPORT MODE”, the record of the last lap will be stored in “RIDE STAT LAST LAP” in Instrument cluster. At the same time, the app should be connected to the Instrument cluster to generate and save the Trip Report in the app.

If the app is not connected to the instrument cluster and you are driving the TVS NTORQ 125 in “SPORT MODE”, your record of the last lap will only be stored in “RIDE STAT LAST LAP” in Instrument cluster.
