Explore The Many Variants of NTorq

When we launched the NTorq, little did we anticipate that it would become the epitome of sporty performance scooters in India. Having clocked over 1.45 million sales in less than 5 years, the NTorq has managed to create a niche segment of its own. Upon launch, the TVS Ntorq had three variants, the Standard, the Drum, and the Race Edition. Fast forward to now, the lineup features a host of new features, including a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, a dedicated USB charging port, an engine kill switch and a stealth-inspired design, and the first-in-segment Ride modes.

The Timeline

The initial offering came in a total of 8 colours which were spread across three variants, and later in 2019, the Race edition variant of TVS Ntorq was unveiled.

TVS Ntorq (Standard)

This is the most affordable of all variants in the TVS Ntorq lineup. It comes with a 130 mm disc brake in the front and the rear. When it comes to performance, the scooter offers 9.2 bhp and 10.5 Nm of peak power and torque outputs, respectively. In 2018, it came with a halogen headlamp setup but now, the NTorq has switched to an all-LED headlight.
When it comes to the Disc variant of TVS Ntorq, the difference lies in the braking system. You get 220 mm disc brakes at the front which offers great stopping power that is required for such a powerful engine. Pegged at a slightly higher price, the value it offers makes the extra cost justified.

TVS Ntorq (Race Edition)

One of the sportier variants of TVS Ntorq, this came in 2019 in Race Edition Red & Race Edition Yellow. Initially, it was marked as a limited-edition model, the strong year-on-year growth of this variant helped put it in regular production. For a sportier look, it came with all-black alloy wheels, aggressive race-inspired graphics and a freshly designed instrument cluster.

TVS Ntorq (Super Squad Edition)

Arriving at the TVS Motor dealerships in September 2020, the highlight of this special variant of TVS Ntorq was its launch in collaboration with Marvel with a tagline – “Play Smart Play Epic”. The lineup came in four colour options – Amazing Red, Lightening Grey, Combat Blue and Stealth Black - decals inspired by the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

TVS Ntorq (Race XP)

This variant of TVS Ntorq was launched in October 2021 and happens to be the most powerful variant in the Ntorq lineup. For starters, the engine has been tweaked for increased compression ratio which optimizes fuel injection, produces more power and makes the engine rev higher. Compared to the rest of the lineup, it also boasts of higher power-to-weight ratio. Lastly, TVS Ntorq Race XP has an all-new exhaust system that makes the engine breathe better as it offers free flow. All this has made the scooter deliver a peak power output of a staggering 10.2 PS of peak power and 10.8 Nm of peak torque. which helps TVS Ntorq Race XP clock a 0-60 km/h in just 8.6 seconds with a top speed of 98 km/h.

TVS Ntorq (XT)

The flagship offering of the line-up, TVS NTorq XT is one of the most sophisticated performance scooters available in the Indian market that comes with an updated SmatXonnect which offers multi-language support, a customizable display, and social media notifications all on one instrument cluster with TFT display on the left and a negative LCD on the right. On the technical front, most of the iteration is identical, except the start-stop functionality which automatically turns off the engine during long idling to save fuel.
Be it the sporty design and performance, the features or the practicality - NTorq has something for everyone. Furthermore, all the variants of TVS Ntorq are priced aggressively, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to offering absolute bang for the buck!
