TVS Motor Company recorded total sales of 172,061 units in February 2012 against 177,412 units in February 2011.

The company's cumulative sales for the period April 2011 to February 2012 grew by 9 % with sales of 2,015,615 units against 1,855,460 units recorded in the previous comparable period.

Two Wheeler

Total two wheeler sales stood at 168,996 units in February 2012 in comparison with 173,200 units recorded in February 2011.

Scooters recorded sales of 36,693 units compared to 40,335 units in February 2011. Motorcycles registered sales of 63,019 units in February 2012 against 71,462 units in February 2011.

Domestic two wheeler sales of the company grew marginally to 152,796 units in February 2012 from 151,526 units reported in February 2011.

Exports

Exports registered total sales of 17,960 units in February 2012 against 24,036 units in the same month of the previous year. The company's two wheeler exports stood at 16,200 units in February 2012 in comparison with 21,674 units in February 2011.

Three Wheeler

The company sold 3,065 units of three wheelers in February 2012 against 4,212 units in the same month of the previous year. Cumulative three wheeler sales for the period of April 2011 to February 2012 stood at 37,514 units, a growth of 6% over the same period of the previous year.
