Domestic sales grow 6%; Three Wheeler sales grow 9%

TVS Motor Company has reported 4% growth in sales for the month of October 2012. The company registered total sales of 190,438 units in October 2012 against 183,718 units registered in October 2011.

Two Wheeler

Total two wheeler sales grew by 4% with sales of 186,376 units in October 2012 against 180,006 units recorded in October 2011. The company recorded 6% increase in domestic sales registering 170,273 units in the month of October 2012 against 159,887 units of October 2011.

In October 2012, the company sold 72,687 motorcycle units against 75,652 units in October 2011. Scooters registered sales of 43,973 units in October 2012 against 47,445 units in the same month of the previous year.

Exports

The company's total exports for the month of October 2012 stood at 18,563 units against 22,129 units in the same month of the previous year. Two wheeler exports reported for the month of October 2012 was 16,103 units in comparison with 20,119 units in October 2011.

Three Wheeler

The company's three wheeler sales grew by 9% from 3,712 units in October 2011 to 4,062 units October 2012.
