TVS iQube: Embarking on an Electrifying Journey from Hosur to Nepal

When you set your sights on something, you find a way to achieve it. There’s no better way to describe our India-Nepal trip astride the TVS iQube. With this feat, the iQube is now the World’s First Electric Scooter to do the India to Nepal trip without making any noise about it!

Stopover in Hyderabad

The riders entered Hyderabad and made the first stop to charge the TVS iQube while sipping on some hot tea. They immersed themselves in the local sights and sounds while appreciating the agility and ride comfort that this TVS electric scooter provides.
Being a metropolitan, Hyderabad had a lot of speed breakers. The well-tuned suspension setup added to the riding comfort. Furthermore, the iQube excelled in terms of its compact form factor and urban flickability, letting the riders navigate the city lanes with supreme ease. Along with that, a lot of focus has been given to make the battery setup safe.

Onto Maharashtra

With Maharashtra being one the largest states in India, TVS iQube had another long highway stretch to cover across this coastal state. Hence, it was crucial to have navigation assistance and ride-related data to plan the charging. This is when Turn-by-Turn Navigation Assist and DTE (Distance-to-empty) powered by SmartXonnect were put to good use.
Any roadside shop was a good stopover thanks to the portable 650W charger - a 5A socket is all that was needed. And with SmartXonnect, this electric scooter kept both riders connected and informed on the go.

Entering Varanasi

This leg of India-Nepal the journey was all about beautiful sights while travelling. It was another 330 km long highway stretch to be covered by the riders. But before that, it was time for a good ol’ highway-style meal and another quick charge for the iQube. As the riders enjoyed the food, their smartphones offered all the ride-related details along with the state-of-charge thanks to the remote charging status on the TVS iQube App.

Passing through Bihar, Ready for Nepal

The riding dynamics of TVS iQube made the ride ahead quite easy. Its extra-wide seats, 32 litres of under-seat storage and nimble handling were a boon for the riders as they had the required comfort, practicality and performance at their disposal.
It was the first time that this competitively TVS iQube price was ridden in the dark, and the powerful LED headlamp offered excellent illumination on the road ahead.

Entering Nepal

“Hey TVS, what’s the weather in Kathmandu?” to which the voice assistant replied, ‘Cloudy weather ahead’. This was when the riders reached “Birjung”, the first city in Nepal. The last 138 km were to be along Trishull River. The stretch accounted for a steep climb on unpaved roads – this is where the combination of a solid suspension setup and precise power delivery helped the riders glide effortlessly through this stretch. By now, the riders had full confidence in the reliability of TVS iQube on this ev scooter ride to Nepal. Turn-by-turn navigation was once again engaged to find the way ahead.

The Kathmandu Chapter

After traversing the treacherous mountains, the riders were in high spirits not just because of how iQube had performed so far but also due to how Kathmandu enamoured them. Finally, riders entered the urban region as they took the Kalanki Underpass.
In a friendly gesture, the riders stopped to offer a lift to some fellow pedestrians. This was the first time the TVS iQube was ridden with a pillion. The extra-long and well-cushioned seat drew appreciation from the pillions and the wide floorboard offered ample room for the rider to ride comfortably. Once again, the ergonomics of the iQube shined through!

The Final Leg

The trip finally came to a close as the riders arrived at the Jagdamba TVS showroom. There was a warm welcome and the riders did a hearty fist bump to celebrate what they’ve just accomplished!
