Ready for Every Terrain
Let’s start with the offset instrument cluster which is a callout to scramblers. It provides a whole lot of information – Trip A/B, distance to empty, Ride modes and other ride telemetry. It is light, manageable, feature-packed, and has a light clutch which adds to the convenience. When it comes to performance, TVS Ronin houses an engine with O3C technology and a 5-speed assist and slipper clutch gearbox that has a flat torque characteristic – this gives it the ability to quickly overtake when required with fewer gear shifts during heavy traffic.
Strong bottom-end performance and the free-revving nature of the engine which goes all the way up to 9000 rpm in no time, ensures optimum power delivery is effortless in all road conditions. The 225 cc unit produces a maximum power of 20.4 PS @ 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.9 Nm comes in just at 3750 rpm, thereby offering great low-end and mid-range grunt. Above all, the TVS Ronin is engineered to be a low maintenance bike in India that keeps going and munching the miles.
Building a Versatile and Ergonomically Sound Bike
For TVS Ronin, it started at ground zero. The vision was to develop a bike that feels solid and planted yet spirited when you turn the throttle. The objective was to achieve a perfect combination of power, sturdiness and agility. The TVS Ronin is built to tolerate the harshest of Indian road conditions and hence, truly built to last.
TVS Ronin takes its cues back to the Zeppelin cruiser concept that was presented at Auto Expo in 2018. However, the bike takes a different approach in terms of design; it is a blend of neo-retro design, a café racer, a flat tracker and even has slight elements of a scrambler. Versatility is bustling in its DNA, making it one of the best bikes for Indian roads. The tall swept-back handlebar, upright sitting posture and foot pegs just at the natural place of your feet, makes riding TVS Ronin a comfortable experience. Also, the new chassis has been carefully designed to amplify a planted but light and easy-riding character.
The suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD forks in the front and gas-charged mono-shock 7 step adjustable pre-load at the back, both tuned to be soft at low speed, yet stiff at high speed for improved straight-line stability. For all that it offers, the TVS Ronin shines in the segment of best bikes under 2 lakh.
