Two Wheeler sales record 1,13,261, Motorcycles clocks 68,122 units in November 05

TVS Motor Company continued its growth trend by clocking 1,13,261 units in two wheeler sales in November 05 compared to 1,07,830 units in the same period last year recording a growth of 5%.

The motorcycles clocked 68,122 units in November 05 compared to 65,066 units recorded last year registering a growth of 5%.

The growth in motorcycle sales was aided by the good demand for TVS Victor and TVS StaR. The StaR City with its trend setting looks in the economy segment continues to receive favourable response. The Company will launch a new 150 CC motorcycle in the last quarter of the fiscal, which will strengthen its presence in the premium segment of motorcycles.

TVS Scooty continue to dominate sub 100 cc scooter segment recording 21,057 units in November 2005 compared to 20,646 units recorded in the same period last year, registering a growth of 2%.

TVS Moped clocked 24,082 units in November 2005 compared to 22,118 units during the same period last year. The company continues to maintain its market leadership in mopeds.

In the export front, TVS Motor Company continued its good performance having exported 6,120 units in November 2005, recording a growth of 44% compared to the same period last year.
