TVS Motor Company posted a sales growth of 27% during the month of September 2014, with total sales increasing from 197,409 units recorded in the month of September 2013 to 250,835 units in the month of September 2014.

Exports

The company's total exports grew by 15% with sales increasing from 27,577 units in the month of September 2013 to 31,616 units in September 2014. Two wheeler exports grew by 15% with sales increasing from 21,011 units in September 2013 to 24,221 units in September 2014.

Two Wheeler

Total two wheeler sales increased by 28% from 189,609 units recorded in September 2013 to 241,668 units in September 2014. Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 29% increasing from 168,598 units in September 2013 to 217,447 units in September 2014.

Scooters sales of the company grew by 63% increasing from 43,201 units in September 2013 to 70,508 units in September 2014. Motorcycles sales grew by 18% increasing from 83,043 units in the month of September 2013 to 98,052 units in September 2014.

Three Wheeler

Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 18%, growing from 7,800 units in September 2013 to 9,167 units in September 2014.

Second Quarter Sales Performance

TVS Motor Company has posted 35% growth during the second quarter of financial year 2014-'15 with a total sales of 6.77 lakh units against 5.01 lakh units recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total two wheeler sales grew by 36% increasing from 4.79 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 6.49 lakh units in the second quarter of the current year. Total three wheeler sales grew by 24% increasing from 0.23 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 0.28 lakh units in the second quarter of the current year.
