Anushka Sharma to endorse TVS Scooty

TVS Motor Company today announced that it has signed on much feted Indian Actor, Ms. Anushka Sharma, as the brand ambassador for its TVS Scooty range. Ms. Anushka Sharma will be the face of all brand campaigns related to the TVS Scooty brand. TVS Scooty has been synonymous with style and innovation and is one of the most exciting two-wheeler brands for young women. This association with Anushka Sharma only strengthens the brands commitment to its youth target audience and reinforces its positioning.

Commenting on the development, Mr. H S Goindi, President Marketing, TVS Motor Company said, "Anushka Sharma was an immediate choice for the TVS Scooty brand. She is well known for being spunky with her distinctive style and is an icon for young girls in India. For Anushka, the association with TVS Scooty dates back to 2005 when she had done a campaign for the brand. "It's almost like 'homecoming' for me. As a young woman I know how important independence and mobility is to me. Anushka Sharma began her career as a model at the 2007 Lakme Fashion Week. Since then she has never looked back at her humble beginning. Her foray into the Hindi Film industry was a dream come true - a role opposite Shahrukh Khan in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, a film that shot her into the arc lights of stardom.

Both Badmaash Company (May 2010 with Shahid Kapoor) and Band Baaja Baaraat (December 2010 with debutant Ranveer Singh) followed in quick succession adding to her already soaring popularity and her growing fan club. She was soon picked up for a plum role opposite Akshay Kumar in Patiala House (Feb 2011) even before the release of her sleeper hit, Band Baaja Baaraat.
